June 2009
Hi Everyone,
Hope your summer is going well. Things have so busy around here I haven't had time to plan or even think about a vacation. My writer friend, Margaret, says she's been writing a lot about "staycations" lately - whatever that means. I wonder if it has anything to do with getting Possum Ridge finished. That's her next book about me and my life in West Virginia. It's a little more serious than Egret Cove but, like that first book, it's written for the senior crowd and contains no overt sex, swearing or violence. I was a little nervous about how people would take to that but, so far, it's working so I guess we'll keep it up.
By the way. Have you seen the new Albuquerque Almanac published by Street Sweeper Press? It's a great collection of stories, poems, and memoirs about Albuquerque and the surrounding area. Margaret contributed two stories and will have one in the 2010 edition. Ordering info is on the BOOK STUFF page ... check it out.
Speaking of Margaret, she's taking June and July off to finish Possum Ridge but she's making lots of phone calls and setting up the Fall Book Tour. Click on Margaret's Calendar page for some tentative dates.
That's about all for now ... keep those emais coming ...
I'd LOVE to hear from y'all.
Angela
